Culture Day took place on Tuesday 19th July 2022, an event planned by the students of Witton Park Academy to celebrate the cultural diversity of both the students and teachers. Within the Culture Workshop set up in the hall, student volunteers ran stalls representing 25 different countries, while the rest of the students at WItton Park were able to taste traditional dishes, play a range of activities and dance along to some amazing music. Some pupils from across all year groups participated in African drumming, and the GCSE PE students had an exclusive meeting with 4 internation Blackburn Rovers football players. There was also a parade for the Year 7s and 8s in the morning which provided the prefect opportunity for all to see the extraordinary outfits on show.

A year 10 pupil said " Wow... what a brilliant say as well as an experience. I absolutely loved it. It was interesting getting to know people within my school and what their culture was. A day I will never forget and always cherish". '
